The Los Alamos NJROTC Extreme 5K and Fun Run is more than just a raceit is a purposeful event designed to bring people together in support of a meaningful cause. Recently rebranded, this event now serves as a fundraiser for the Los Alamos NJROTC program, directly supporting the growth, training, and development of its cadets.
At its core, the event is dedicated to raising awareness for suicide prevention, promoting resilience, and encouraging open conversations about mental health. While the mission is serious, the atmosphere is one of positivity, unity, and celebration of life. Participants from across the community and beyond are invited to come together not only to support the cause, but to enjoy a memorable experience filled with camaraderie, encouragement, and friendly competition.
The Extreme in the title is well-earned. The 5K course presents a true challenge, featuring approximately 383 feet of elevation gain that will test endurance and determination.
