Registration is open until October 6th, and all participants will receive a special "Made to Wonder" shirt in time for race day. WHO: DONOR-CONCEIVED PEOPLE, PARENTS, DONORS, PROFESSIONALS, FAMILY, FRIENDS AND ALLIES.
WHAT: DONOR CONCEIVED COMMUNITY FOUNDED THIS ANNUAL EVENT IN 2022 TO CREATE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR PEOPLE TO CONNECT, SHARE THEIR STORIES, AND BUILD SOLIDARITY FOR ENDING THE PRACTICE OF 'ANONYMOUS' GAMETE DONATION.
ANONYMOUS GAMETE DONATION WAS THE INDUSTRY NORM IN THE US FOR DECADES. SPERM AND EGG DONORS WERE TOLD TO DONATE ANONYMOUSLY. PARENTS WERE TOLD NOT TO TELL. AS A RESULT, COUNTLESS DONOR-CONCEIVED PEOPLE DON'T HAVE ACCESS TO IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THEIR IDENTITY, FAMILY MEDICAL HISTORY, AND GENETIC RELATIVES. THEY WERE MADE TO WONDER.
