On March 6, 2018, McKenna Schummer lost a 20-month battle with Osteosarcoma at the young age of 11. On March 6, we have hosted a "Make a Difference Day the #McKennassquad Way" the past five years. In 2021, we went virtual for the First Annual Make a Difference Day 5K in honor of McKenna.

She helped children find their courage, strength and beauty through the creation of the McKennassquad Beauty Bar at the Children's Hospital of Michigan in Detroit. Today, McKenna's Beauty Bar has been able to help many children going through tough times and has also been expanded in the form "Beauty Bar Boxes". These have been delivered to many hospitals within Michigan and also out of state.

McKenna's passion for make up lives on with this legacy and we need your help to "Make a Difference" by signing up, participating, posting, sharing, and helping #McKennassquad grow to reach more children in hospitals.

We do sincerely apologize, but due to unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances, we have to shift to a Virtual 5K Glow Walk/Run. Packet pickup will take place March 5th at Bigby Coffee in Burton (5515 Davison Rd, Burton, MI 48509) from 3:30 - 6:30 pm to pick up medals and swag previous runners have signed up for.

Each runner will still receive a beautiful medal and other swag bag items while "Making a Difference" in many children going through tough times in hospitals and homes. We do apologize again, but we do appreciate your continued support.
