Get ready for an unforgettable day of adventure and delicious treats at the Maple Madness: Mud, Sweat, & Syrup event on Saturday, March 22, 2025, in the picturesque Warren Center, Bradford. This unique trail race brings together the thrill of running, the joy of maple syrup, and the excitement of muddy trails. Participants can choose between two challenging distances: a 5k or a 10k, both starting and finishing at the charming Dewy Meadows Maple Farm sap house.
As you navigate a mix of dirt roads, steep climbs, single tracks, and field crossings, you'll enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings while earning your post-race rewards. Finishers will be treated to delicious pancakes drizzled with fresh maple syrup, and there will be plenty of refreshments waiting for you. With no aid stations on the course, remember to pack your own hydration and fueling supplies. After conquering the trails, unwind by the bonfire, explore sap house tours, and shop for local maple syrup products. Plus, all registrants before March 13 will receive a cozy hooded sweatshirt! Organiser's Description
Do you love trail races? How about maple syrup? You're in luck, because we have combined the two! There will most likely be some mud, too, which is certain to get yourself into a sticky situation. When you combine all three: Trails, syrup and mud, you get "MAPLE MADNESS: MUD, SWEAT, & SYRUP".
Choose the 5k or 10k distance, both starting and finishing at the Dewy Meadows Maple Farm sap house (or "sugar shack", depending on where you were born). All courses will have a mix of short dirt road sections, grueling climbs, single track, field crossings, logging roads, and whatever else we decide to throw at you. It is sure to be a challenging and super fun course, no matter which distance you choose.
Pancakes and syrup will be provided for finishers because you can't have syrup without pancakes, amiright? There will be a lot of refreshments and treats at the finish, but runners are self-supported as far as anything you need on course. There is no aid station on course, so you must carry in/carry out any hydration and fueling needs.
Bonfire and sap house tours after you finish, and with luck, the weather will cooperate and allow for a sap boiling day as well! Dewy Meadows Maple Farm will have maple syrup and products available for sale, so don't forget some extra cash to take home some awesome fresh, local, products and help support the farm!
ALL REGISTRANTS BEFORE MARCH 13 WILL RECEIVE A HOODED SWEATSHIRT WITH THEIR ENTRY. ENTRIES AFTER MARCH 13 WILL NOT INCLUDE A HOODED SWEATSHIRT.
Male and Female winners of the10k will receive a jug of syrup and a steak! Both syrup and steak directly from Dewy Meadows Farm.
Male and Female winners of the 5k will receive a jug of syrup from Dewy Meadows Farm!
ALL OVERALL WINNERS WILL HAVE THEIR NAMED PERMANENTLY MARKED ON THE LEGENDARY COW SKULL. COURSE RECORDS WILL RECEIVE AN ADDITIONAL PREMIUM.
Packet pick up will start at 7am on race day near the start. Watch for emails for updates.
