Michael aka "Chip" Cawley lived a life full of passion and perseverance. Whether it was fishing at every river and lake he came across, snowboarding with his buds, going on hikes, riding on his quad, or golfing with his poppy, he lived true to himself. Curious about the world, Michael strived to learn about various interests. He was a graduate of Valley View High School and Marywood University with a Bachelor's of Science in Biology. While at Valley View, he was a member of the wrestling and soccer teams. He was also trained by Greg Mancuso as a kickboxer at Northeast Karate. He _never _limited himself and _always _accomplished his dreams. Some of his many including excelling at his new job and buying a house. He saw people for who they were and treated everyone with kindness and humility. He loved all animals especially his boxer doggos. He was a caring son and enjoyed spending time with his parents Stacey & Brett. After recently being diagnosed with epilepsy, Michael passed away unexpectedly at work from a grand mal seizure on February 23, 2023.



Michael's unconditional love transcends this universe. His legacy will live on through us & with us. We are raising funds to make a difference in the lives of people living with epilepsy. All donations will support the following beneficiaries; Camp Freedom, Valley View scholarships, Valley View Wrestling, Adopt A Boxer Rescue, and Friends With Paws Rescue.

WHAT: 5K Run and 2 Mile Walk

WHEN: Saturday, July 12th at 9:00 AM

WHERE: Blakely Borough Recreational Complex, 303 Riverside Dr., Peckville, PA 18452

REGISTRATION FEES: $20 for walkers, $25 for runners, $30 for day of registrants

T-SHIRTS: Unisex t-shirts guaranteed for the first 400 pre-registered participants

DAY OF REGISTRATION/PACKET PICK-UP: 7:30 - 8:45 AM

PACKET PICK UP: There will be a packet pick up for all pre-registered participants on Friday, July 11th from 2 to 6:30 PM at the Scranton Running Company, 3 West Olive St., Scranton, PA 18508.

AWARDS: The top overall male and female with receive awards as well as the top two males and females in the below age groups:

0-19

20-29

30-39

40-49

50-59

60-69

70+

The top overall male and female walkers will also receive an award.

There will also be raffles and prizes and free refreshments.
