Join us for the exhilarating Miller Landing Madness on Saturday, August 16, 2025, in Tallahassee, Leon! This exciting cross-country run features three race distances: an 8K, a 5K, and a 3K, making it the perfect event for runners of all skill levels. As a popular kickoff for the high-school cross-country season, this event brings together local high-school athletes and GWTC members eager to lace up their running shoes after a summer break.
Set in the beautiful Elinor Klapp-Phipps Park, participants will enjoy a scenic course while supporting a great cause. This year, we aim to collect 1,500 pounds of food items for the SECOND HARVEST OF THE BIG BEND food bank, helping to provide healthy food for neighbors in need. Plus, all monetary proceeds will benefit the GWTC Chenoweth Fund. Don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to race, give back, and embrace the vibrant running community!

Organiser's Description
This event, which includes an 8K, a 5K and a 3K, has become the kickoff for the high-school cross-country season and the signal for GWTC members that its time to start racing again after a summer hiatus. The race is a great chance for GWTC members and local high-school runners to mix it up together. Jeanne O'Kon, Tom Perkins and Bill Lott have teamed up as race directors to create a great event that gives you a real taste of Elinor Klapp-Phipps Park.
All donated food items will go to SECOND HARVEST OF THE BIG BEND food bank. Second Harvest provides healthy food for neighbors facing hunger and food insecurity throughout the 16-county Big Bend service area. Help this race collect 1,500 pounds of food items this year!
All monetary proceeds benefit the GWTC Chenoweth Fund.
