Join us for the MLK Unity Run on Monday, January 19, 2026, in Montclair, Essex, as we come together to honor the legacy of Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King. This uplifting event will kick off at 8 AM at Nishuane Park, where participants will enjoy a scenic 5K run/walk. The route begins near the poignant black granite teardrop monument dedicated to the Kings, making it a fitting tribute to their enduring impact on society.
Post-run, participants are invited to relax at Sankofa Cafe, where complimentary coffee and tea will be provided courtesy of Brooks. In the spirit of MLK Day as a Day of Service, we encourage attendees to bring toiletries for donation to Toni's Kitchen, with collection happening at Nishuane Park from 8 to 9 AM. Be part of this community celebration, where fitness meets purpose in a joyful tribute to unity and service!

Join Fleet Feet Montclair, Black Men Run [https://blackmenrun.com/blackmenrun-chapters/new-jersey-runs/] and Black Girls Run! [https://blackgirlsrun.com/community/new-jersey/] North NJ Chapters and Brooks (1/19, 8AM) for a Unity Run/Walk in memory and celebration of Reverend Martin Luther King Jr. & Coretta Scott King. Our 5k route will start at Nishuane Park near the black granite tear-drop shaped monument dedicated to the Kings.
Post run we will head over to Sankofa Cafe [https://sankofacafenj.com/] for complimentary coffee and tea, courtesy of Brooks.
