This exciting event, hosted by the Monitor Merrimac District of the Colonial Virginia Council - Boy Scouts of America, invites everyone to lace up their running shoes and join in on the adventure! Whether you prefer to run or walk, this 5K is a fantastic opportunity for Scouts, friends, and families to get outdoors, promote healthy living, and support Scouting initiatives that serve around 2,000 local youth.
Participants will enjoy a vibrant atmosphere and the chance to win awards for the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as age group categories ranging from 12 & Under to 70 & Over. Don’t forget to register by July 18th to secure your race t-shirt! The day kicks off with park gates opening at 6:45 am, followed by check-in from 7:00 to 7:45 am, and the race starts at 8:00 am. The Boy Scouts of America - Colonial Virginia Council provides a well-rounded program that promotes physical, mental, and emotional development while fostering a lifelong love of learning and adventure. We currently serve around 2,000 youth and your support will help us expose more families about Scouting.
