Join us for the third annual Scout Strong 5K, a vibrant community event taking place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Copeland Field, located across from Warwick High School in Newport News, VA. This exciting race invites participants of all ages to run, jog, or walk in support of the Colonial Virginia Council of Scouting America, which aims to inspire youth through physical, mental, and emotional growth. Lace up your running shoes and experience the joy of outdoor activity while contributing to an important cause.
With race check-in starting at 7:00 AM and the race kicking off at 8:00 AM, there are plenty of opportunities for everyone to participate. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers overall, as well as in various age groups. Plus, don't forget to register by July 22nd to secure your race T-shirt! Come out to celebrate community spirit, fitness, and the lifelong adventure of Scouting. Let’s get active and make a positive impact together!

The Colonial Virginia Council of Scouting America (formerly the Boy Scouts of America) delivers a well-rounded program that builds physical, mental, and emotional strength while inspiring a lifelong love of learning and adventure. Today, we serve nearly 2,000 youth across our communitiesand with your support, we can introduce even more families to the life-changing impact of Scouting.

IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A RACE T-SHIRT, COMPLETE REGISTRATION BY JULY 22ND. You are not guaranteed a shirt after the deadline. Check-in is the day of the race from 7-7:45am. Join the race and lets get active!
