Join us on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Sandy Bottom Nature Park for the exciting third annual Scout Strong 5K, proudly hosted by the Monitor Merrimac District of the Colonial Virginia Council. This vibrant event invites runners, joggers, and walkers of all ages to lace up their shoes and participate in a fun-filled day that promotes physical fitness and community spirit. With race distances suitable for everyone, it's a perfect opportunity for Scouts, families, and community members to come together, enjoy the outdoors, and support the life-changing mission of Scouting.
The day kicks off early with park gates opening at 6:45 am, followed by check-in from 7:00 to 7:45 am. The race starts promptly at 8:00 am, and participants can look forward to an awards ceremony celebrating the top finishers in various age groups at 9:30 am. Don’t miss out on the chance to receive a race t-shirt—be sure to register by July 22nd! Today, we serve nearly 2,000 youth across our communitiesand with your support, we can introduce even more families to the life-changing impact of Scouting.
