Join us every Monday night throughout June, July, August, and part of September for monitored open water swims, where you'll be supported by certified lifeguards and kayakers to ensure your safety and boost your confidence in the water. Whether you’re preparing for a race or simply looking to improve your swimming technique, these clinics are perfect for everyone. Don’t miss out on this chance to swim in a safe and fun environment, while also enjoying the stunning natural surroundings. Organiser's Description
These are monitored open water swims with swim buoys, lifeguards, kayakers to watch swimmers and help them become better in open water swims for their upcoming races. 1-2 Lifeguards certified in open water swimming present at each event. These life guards are open water swim certified thanks to a grant from USA Triathlon.
Additional kayakers on the water each Monday night and weekend clinic to patrol for safety. We are always looking for volunteers to kayak for these. We do trade kayaking for free swimming!
SWIMMERS MUST BE A USAT MEMBER OR PURCHASE A 1 DAY MEMBERSHIP FOR THE SWIMS AND CLINICS. THIS IS OUR INSURANCE AND IS REQUIRED. [https://member.usatriathlon.org/accounts]
DIRECTIONS:
* From 79, take the Portersville exit.
* Go E. Portersville Rd
* Take an immediate LEFT onto BADER HILL RD. all the way down to the cove.
* It turns into a DIRT ROAD the closer you get to the cove
