The extra 0.04 kilometers serves as a poignant reminder of how small that percentage truly is.
Everyone is welcome to participate, and we encourage families to bring wagons and strollers to enjoy the day together. This fun, untimed race emphasizes community spirit and support, with 100% of net proceeds going directly to pediatric cancer research and assistance for affected families. Participants who register by August 20, 2025, will also receive an exclusive race shirt. Come together for a day of joy, awareness, and hope as we run and walk for a brighter future for our kids!

PLEASE JOIN US AS WE RUN/WALK TOGETHER AS A COMMUNITY ON SEPTEMBER 20, 2025.
Join us for our 2nd annual 5.04K, uniting our community to recognize children battling cancer. Why 5.04K? The length of the run/walk event is 5.04K, reflecting the fact that only 4% of federal cancer research funding goes to pediatrics. The additional 0.04 kilometers in the race is meant to demonstrate how small 4 percent really is.
The 5.04K race was founded by Conor Rigan, who was diagnosed with Grade III Anaplastic Ependymoma, an aggressive brain tumor, at six months old. Conor invites his community to join him at the 5.04K to celebrate being a kid, no matter what tomorrow brings. 100% of net proceeds from the 5.04K will go directly to pediatric cancer research teams and supporting families dealing with pediatric cancer.
