Join Augusta Universitys Doctor of Physical Therapy Program for the 2nd annual Motion is Lotion 5K!
In celebration of National Physical Therapy Month, this event highlights the power of movement and the essential role physical therapists play in helping individuals live active, healthy lives.
As future movement specialists, our DPT students are passionate about empowering others through education, rehabilitation, and community engagement. This race is an opportunity to bring people of all ages and abilities together in support of wellness, mobility, and the PT profession.
Whether youre a seasoned runner, weekend walker, or just looking to support a great cause, we invite you to lace up and move with us! All proceeds and support will go toward promoting physical activity and supporting student-led outreach initiatives.

Please park at Riverview park near the baseball fields and we will be directing those to the Greenway. We will run to SRP park and back. This will be an out and back course equaling out to 3.12 miles. Awards will be at 10:00am. There will be fruit and waters available to runners after the race. This is an OPEN COURSE, meaning that the public will be running alongside us. Please use respectful passing maneuvers when trying to pass pedestrians on the Greenway and please yield to bikers. Thank you!

Walkers will be responsible for getting their times when crossing the finish line, runners will get their time via the bib!! Includes the price of a tshirt! Top 3 finishers will receive a gift certificate from Fleet Feet, Fifth and Fire, and SouthBound Smokehouse! Our top finisher will receive a $50 gift card to Frog Hollow along with Fleet Feet and Fifth and Fire gift cards. Our top 3 overall, top 3 mens, and top 3 womens finishers will receive a medal! -
