The Murphysboro Mud Monster is an Obstacle & Mud Challenge taking place at scenic Riverside Park in Murphysboro, Illinois.
Gates open and on-site registration begins at 7:30 a.m. with running heats starting at 9:00 a.m. until the final group at 10:40 a.m.
Experience over 18 obstacles along the approximate 5 kilometer route. Obstacles can include mud trenches, foam pits, ice baths, ropes, low crawls, slip & slides, teamwork challenges and of course, MUD!
Food and drink will be available for participants.
The price this year is $75 which includes a custom finishers medal designed by Murphysboros own Sculptor and Metalsmith John Medwedeff, and a high quality soft t-shirt. REGISTER BY AUGUST 30TH TO BE GUARANTEED A SHIRT. Swag also includes gimmes from local sponsors and contributors. Participants must be 13 years or older with a parent or guardian's permission and signed waiver. Runners 21 and over will receive one (1) beer ticket to celebrate their accomplishment. We will have temporary showers and changing rooms available for participant use.
