This vibrant event is part of SIUE's Homecoming & Family Weekend and celebrates the Route 66 Centennial. Runners of all levels can choose from three race distances: a competitive 10K, a scenic 5K, or a fun run suitable for all ages.
Join alumni, students, faculty, staff, and the local community as you run for a cause—proceeds from this event support the SIUE Alumni Association Scholarship and Programs, contributing over $20,000 annually in scholarships. After completing your race, enjoy a delicious complimentary pancake breakfast provided by Chris Cakes and, for those 21 and older, a refreshing post-run beer from Global Brew. Don’t forget, dogs are welcome to join the festivities! Make sure to register before September 4th to secure your official Cougars Unleashed race shirt.
