Step into the night for a fast-paced urban orienteering adventure under the Sturgeon Moon! This event is designed for all experience levelsfirst-timers, seasoned navigators, runners, hikers, families, and friends.
What Is Orienteering?
Orienteering is an outdoor navigation sport where you use a detailed map (and optionally a compass) to find checkpoints scattered across the terrain. Its part strategy, part speed, and part explorationthink real-world treasure hunt, after dark.
How the Sturgeon Moon Hydrant Hunt Works
Format: Score-O (find controls in any order)
Time Limit: 1 hour
Goal: Find as many controls as possible
Scoring:
Each control = 5 points
1-point penalty per minute over the time limit
Whats Provided:
High-quality course maps
Reflective controls with manual punches. Loaner compasses
