Join us for the New Year's Day 5K & Kids Run organized by the Utica Roadrunners on January 1, 2025, at Whitesboro, Oneida. This exciting event is FREE for Utica Roadrunner Club Members, but non-members can join for just $12. The day kicks off with a Kids Run at 9:15 A.M., followed by the 5K at 10 A.M. The 5K route is an out and back starting on Judd Rd. and taking runners through scenic neighborhoods. After the run, participants can enjoy post-race refreshments at Accelerate Sports Complex. Don't forget to bring a few dollars for snacks and take advantage of special discounts on track memberships at Accelerate. Be sure to register online and update your membership to secure your spot in this fun-filled event!

Our FIFTH ANNUAL UTICA ROADRUNNERS NEW YEAR'S DAY MEMBERSHIP RUN will occur on January 1, 2025!
This race is FREE for anyone who is a Utica Roadrunner Club Member on 1/1/25 - so make sure that you are signed up or renew your membership TODAY! You'll need to HAVE YOUR MEMBERSHIP ALREADY UPDATED at HTTPS://RUNSIGNUP.COM/CLUB/NY/UTICA/UTICAROADRUNNERS [https://runsignup.com/Club/NY/Utica/UticaRoadRunners]to get the discount making your run FREE!
Non-members are invited to join this run for $12, and if if you do sign-up for membership by Jan 31st, 2024, we'll give you a $12 credit toward any of our 4 major races or the 4-Pack Challenge!
Here is all the information that you need for the run:
Place - ACCELERATE SPORTS COMPLEX - 5421 Judd Rd. Whitesboro
Day-of Registration will start at 8:30 AM. Anyone who is signed up online only needs to check in and receive a raffle ticket for door prizes. If you show up in UR gear (red jackets count!) you will get a second ticket! All raffle prizes will be pulled during the run, and you can check in and see if you won anything when you return.
KIDS RUN - 9:15 A.M. There will be two runs to choose from (1 Lap or 2 Laps around the elevated track). All kids that run will receive a prize! All kids run FREE!
5K - 10 A.M. The run is set up as an out and back. It will start on Judd Rd. by the Kurt Wyman Park Entrance (across the street from Accelerate Sports). Runners will run to Halsey Rd., then turn left and run up Halsey Rd. on the sidewalk to Gibson Rd. Runners will then turn onto Gibson Rd. and run on the sidewalk to the Whitestown Town Park to the second entrance to the parking lot where the turn around will be. Runners will then run down Gibson Rd. on the right side of the road to Halsey Rd. Runners will then turn right on to Halsey Rd. and run back on the sidewalk to Judd Rd. Runners will run down Judd Rd. to the finish. There will also be one water station located at the Whitestown Park Entrance on Gibson Rd where the turn around is located. Roads will be open to cars so please note traffic and stick to the right along Gibson and Judd Roads.
POST RUN - After the run we will gather inside Accelerate, they have generously staffed the facility for us, so we're encouraging all runners to use their smoothie and coffee bar for post race refreshments! Please bring a few dollars for your favorite post run snack. This run is also a great time to get a view/tour of ACCELERATE!! ACCELERATE has also extended the following discount to all Utica Roadrunners members:
* $50 for an Individual Annual Track Membership
* $75 for a family Annual Track Membership

5K Run/Walk (FREE for UR Members!)

This out and back 5K follows Judd Rd, Halsey Rd, and Gibson Rd and will have a single water stop at the turn-around. This run/walk will take place outdoors using roads that will be open to traffic, so participants are asked to stay in the shoulders and use sidewalks when available.
