Menabe and Rizzo, the elusive black-and-white ruffed lemurs sit quietly in their habitat near the entrance of the Ross Park Zoo - the fifth oldest zoo in the nation. Typically greeting visitors as they enter, those same visitors sometimes forget to say goodbye to Menabe and Rizzo on their way out, or leave on a different path that doesn't pass the lemur exhibit again.

So, as the Zoo closes for the day, Menabe and Rizzo nestle in for another evening and dream:

_It sure would be great if we got to see visitors more!"_
_I mean, we are SO good looking. We have great personalities! Plus, we are obviously the STARS of the zoo!"_
_WHY DO WE ONLY GET TO SEE OUR VISITORS ONE TIME? We really need to change this!"_


And it was in this quiet reflection that the ROSS PARK ZOO LOOP THE LEMUR was born.__

Join us on SUNDAY, MAY 17, 2026, SHOW YOUR SUPPORT FOR THE ZOO AND LOOP THE LEMURS AS MANY TIMES AS YOU CAN IN A 2-HOUR, OR 1-HOUR event! With every lap that you complete, wave to the lemurs, take a selfie, give them an air high-five, and if youre lucky - you might hear them cheer you on! The more times you loop the lemurs, the happier they will be, and the more support you will show for our beloved zoo! Run to be competitive, walk with a goal, or just stroll and enjoy the beautiful zoo loop; no matter how you do it, you will be supporting Menabe & Rizzo and all of the wonderful animals at the Ross Park Zoo, with 100% of the net proceeds going directly to the zoo.

LOOP THE LEMUR AND EARN YOUR CUSTOM SHIRT AND CUSTOM MEDAL, ALONG WITH ADMISSION INTO THE ZOO FOR THE DAY!
During your loops through the zoo, you will also pass Red Wolves, Leopards, Binturongs, Lynus the Black Vulture, Owls, Arctic Foxes, Howler Monkeys, Red Pandas, Peacocks, Sand Cats, Fennec Fox, Cinereous Vultures, Pallas's Cats, Sheep, Goats and more!


Participants of all abilities are invited to take part in this one-of-a-kind event and can choose from 3 different events:

* Loop the Lemur 2 Hour
* Loop the Lemur 1 Hour
* Little Lemur Kids Fun Run

_ _Each event is timed and consists of covering the .8 loop inside the Ross Park Zoo as many times as you can or desire. Run, walk, skip, crawl, LEMUR SHUFFLE - it's up to you!

The black-and-white ruffed lemur, sadly, is a critically endangered friend. 100% of the net proceeds will go directly to The Ross Park Zoo in support of their efforts for the conservation of their endangered species. Consider adding a bit more to your registration to help keep Menabe, Rizzo, and their families safe in habitats that protect them and ensure their survival.

**Crew is not allowed on the course. Spectators / non-participants are permitted with regular zoo admission.
