Event summary
Get ready to lace up your running shoes and join us at the Newstead 5K on Saturday, September 21st in South Orange, Essex! Starting at the South Mountain Annex and winding through the picturesque Newstead neighborhood, this family-friendly event is not to be missed. Participants will receive a race T-shirt and have the opportunity to raise funds for the Achieve Foundation, with a chance to receive a refund on their registration fee. Strollers are welcome, but please leave your pets at home. Kids can also get in on the fun with a Toddler Dash and a Kid's Fun Run. This year, the event is going green with the help of the Soma Fox Run Club, providing reusable/collapsible cups for all registered participants to reduce waste. Come join us for a day of fitness, fun, and community spirit at the Newstead 5K!
Organiser's Description
Join us at 9am on Saturday, September 21st on the iconic Newstead 5K course, starting at the South Mountain Annex and running through the beautiful Newstead neighborhood!!!
Participants will receive a race T-shirt (while supplies last).
Create a team and challenge your neighbors, school communities, running group, or family members to see who can raise the most for the Achieve Foundation. New this year, anyone who raises $100 for the Achieve Foundation will receive a refund on their race registration!
The Newstead 5K prides itself on being a family-friendly event. Strollers are welcome but no pets please. There will also be two events exclusively for the kids. Shortly after the completion of the 5K, we will have a "Toddler Dash" on the lawn near the Annex perfect for kids ages 4 and under. After the completion of the dash, the 1/2 mile Kid's Fun Run will commence on the closed road in front of the Annex.

The Newstead 5K is going Green!
With the help from our sponsor, the Soma Fox Run Club, all registered participants will receive a reusable/collapsible cup that can be filled at the water station. We are thrilled to be able to reduce the amount of paper and trash that we create at this event and we hope that you are too.
