Not only will you be challenging yourself physically, but your participation also supports important youth mental health initiatives in partnership with NAMI New Jersey, as well as educational opportunities for children in India through the Sponsor a Child program. The event kicks off with registration and packet pickup at 7:30 AM, followed by the 5K Run starting at 9:00 AM and the Fun Walk at 9:30 AM. As a bonus, all participants will receive a finisher medal, and the first 200 registrations will snag an event t-shirt! On Saturday, May 17th, 2026, we're bringing people together at the beautiful Oak Ridge Park in Union County for a day of fitness, fun, and familywhile supporting important causes both locally and globally. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just getting started, there's a place for you at the NJT 5K!
Running/Walking for a Cause: A portion of all race proceeds will support youth mental health initiatives through our partnership with NAMI New Jersey (National Alliance on Mental Illness). We are also sponsoring a portion for child education in India through our Sponsor a Child program. With nearly 1 in 5 children in New Jersey facing mental, emotional, or behavioral challenges, and millions of children globally lacking access to education, your participation makes a real difference in young lives both here and abroad.
