Event summary
Kick off the fun on Saturday, September 26, with the Kids' Obstacle Dash at 8:30 A.M., where children can race down Milwaukee St., navigating bubbles, cones, and limbo challenges. For the older kids, a thrilling 1/4 mile run follows the obstacle dash, making it a fantastic challenge for young athletes. At 9:00 A.M., lace up your shoes for the 5K Run/Walk, where participants can run, walk, or even dance their way through the course. Each participant will receive a baseball hat, bib, and professional timing, while strollers and dogs are welcome to join the fun! Prefer to participate at your own pace? There's a virtual 5K option available as well. All proceeds from this joyful event support the valuable programming at the E.D. Locke Public Library, making it a wonderful way to give back to the community while enjoying a day
Organiser's Description
THERE ARE FOUR WAYS THAT YOU CAN PARTICIPATE:
KIDS' OBSTACLE DASH @ 8:30 A.M.
Children may register for a fun obstacle run down Milwaukee St. Dash through bubbles, skip between cones, limbo, and more! Each registered participant will receive a hat and medal. Parents may join in at no additional cost.
KIDS' OBSTACLE DASH WITH 1/4 MILE RUN @ 8:30 A.M. (IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE DASH-ONLY PARTICIPANTS)
This year we are offering a challenge for our older children participants. They can add a 1/4 mile run to their obstacle dash. We will start with a run around the library followed by a lap through our obstacle course. Each registered participant will receive a hat and medal. Parents may join in at no additional cost.
5K RUN/WALK @ 9:00 A.M.
Lace up your shoes and run, walk, or dance your way through the course. Each participant will receive a baseball hat, bib, professional timing, and more. Strollers and dogs are allowed.
VIRTUAL 5K RUN/WALK
Run or walk at your own time by choosing our virtual option. You will be able to pick up your baseball hat and bib during packet pick up or after the event at the library.
ALL PROCEEDS FROM THE EVENT SUPPORT THE PROGRAMMING AT THE E.D. LOCKE PUBLIC LIBRARY.
