The day kicks off with race day registration and packet pickup starting at 7:30 AM, followed by the 5k race at 8:30 AM and a Kid's Fun Run at 9:45 AM. Participants can look forward to awards for the top finishers, including $100 for the overall male and female winners aged 20 and older, as well as $50 for youth winners aged 19 and younger. Medals will be awarded to the top 200 finishers, making this a memorable experience for all! Join us for the annual Memorial 5k Walk & Run in loving memory of Orlando Josiah Vargas. This event honors the life of our cherished son, who tragically passed away just before his 6th birthday. Orlandos passion for sports and his joy in playing with friends continue to inspire us which is why we host this community 5k walk/run each year, including a fun run for kids. In his honor, we are raising funds to create a scholarship in Orlando Josiahs name, benefiting a deserving graduate of the Horseheads School District. We invite you to come together with us to remember, celebrate, and support this special cause.
