Finisher Awards: Presented to the top 50 finishers.

At 11:00 AM, a simple practice course will be available for first-time participants (come to the race start area)
At 11:30 AM, the Miami Valley Orienteering Club [http://mvoclub.org/] will offer a voluntary intro sessionperfect for newcomers or anyone wanting a quick refresher. This will also take place at the race start area.
How It Works:
Two hour time limit to find as many controls as possible and make it back to the finish.
Find controls in any order.
Controls are worth five (5) points each with one (1) point penalty for each minute late.
What is Orienteering?
Its an outdoor adventure sport where participants use a detailed map and compass to navigate through a series of checkpoints. Think of it as a mix of cross-country running and treasure hunting!

PRE-REGISTRATION: through RunSignup. Come to the green table at registration on race day.
Minors may be pre-registered on RunSignup by a parent or guardian. Minors must have the liability waiver (Online through RunSignup or the registration sheet at the event) signed by a parent or guardian.
FEES:
All Current Members Run for Free (Fee waived automatically when your RSU membership profile is used, or bring your card/proof of membership to the event)
Non-Members:
$5 for ages 15 and up
Free for ages 14 and under
Members, if you don't register through RunSignup, you absolutely MUST show proof of membership on race day to be eligible for the member fees! No exceptions!
