Participants will enjoy a unique indoor format where the race is based on time rather than distance, allowing athletes of all skill levels to join in the fun.
The race kicks off with a 10-minute swim in the indoor competition pool, followed by a 15-minute transition to get ready for the stationary bike. Athletes will then pedal for 20 minutes before transitioning to a 5-minute warm-up for the final leg—a 15-minute run on the indoor track. Don’t forget to register by January 22, 2025, to guarantee your official event t-shirt! After the race, enjoy delicious food and the chance to win prizes, courtesy of our sponsor ROKA. Organiser's Description
This year's race will be held in the Recreational and Physical Activity Center (RPAC) at The Ohio State University on Saturday, February 8th, 2025. THIS WILL COUNT AS A USAT COLLEGIATE NATIONALS QUALIFIER. An indoor triathlon is based on time rather than distance, allowing all levels of ability the opportunity to compete! There will be a 10 minute swim in the indoor competition pool. Then there is a 15 minute transition that allows you to change into biking clothes/ get situated at your stationary bike. The stationary bike ride will last 20 minutes. A 5 minute transition is then given to allow you enough time to get to the track. Concluding the race is a 15 minute run on our indoor track. Food will be provided afterwards and each racer will receive a t-shirt (if signed up before the deadline). Prizes will also be given out to our winners and via raffle courtesy of our sponsor ROKA! *MUST BE SIGNED UP BY 1/22/2025 IN ORDER TO GUARANTEE A T-SHIRT*
Race Wave Assignments: We will not be taking requests for specific wave placements. Open racers will race in the morning, followed by collegiate and high school. We will be assigning waves based on the swim and run times you provide. If you would like to run with a friend, please sign up with the same times. This will not guarantee you will be in the same wave but you will be as close as possible. Preliminary wave assignments will be posted on January 20th, 2023 and will be emailed out. Any registrations after February 1st will be placed in the last waves.
Registration Deadline: REGISTRATION WILL BE OPEN TILL RACE DAY BUT ALL REGISTRATIONS AFTER FEBRUARY 5TH WILL BE PUT IN THE LAST WAVES. Finalized wave assignments will be made that night. Preliminary wave assignments will be made starting February 5th and will be made available to give you an idea of when you will be competing, but it is possible that you could be moved up or down a wave.
Same Day Registration: Same-day registration will be available. It is easiest if you have cash on hand in the morning to give to one of our race directors.
