Join us on Sunday, May 31st, 2026, at the Wayne High School Track for a fantastic inaugural event designed for children aged 3 to 12. The races kick off at 2 PM, where young runners can showcase their speed and enthusiasm across various distances. Little ones aged 3-4 will dash 50 yards, 5-6 year olds will race 100 yards, while 7-9 year olds will tackle 200 meters. For the oldest age group, 10-12 year olds will complete a thrilling 400 meters—equivalent to one lap around the track!
This event not only promotes physical activity but also supports a great cause, as donations will be accepted on-site for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Participants will enjoy water, music, and receive finishing medals, with the option to order event t-shirts for just $12 for kids and $15 for adults. Registration closes on May 17th, so make sure to secure your spot! Out Wayne's First Annual Kids Fun Run!
Inspired largely by the Kids Running Series put on by Robert's Running, we thought it would be fun to have a race series closer to home for our kids! As this is our first year, a whole series of races seemed a bit ambitious, so we are starting with one day of races for kids age 3-12.
The races will be at the Wayne High School Track on Sunday, May 31st, starting at 2PM.
3 and 4 year olds will run 50 yards.
5-6 year olds will run 100 yards.
7-9 year olds will run 200 meters.
10-12 year olds will run 400 meters (one lap, or 1/4 a mile)
The last day to register is May 17th. Because we also wanted to do something good with this, this year we will be accepting donations on site for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
We will have water, music, and finishing medals for all participants. We will have tee shirts available to order. We wanted this event to be free, but you do have the option to order a shirt. They are $12 for kids shirts, $15 for adults.
It is important that this race is inclusive. So if you have a child with a disability and this is something they are interested in, just message me and we can brainstorm some accommodations to make it work.
