This exciting two-day celebration invites participants to kick off the new year with a fun-filled 5K run/walk that promises a fantastic experience on a scenic course combining rail and dirt trails through Bloomfield Park. With races scheduled to start at 9:30 AM each day, you can choose to race on one day or both, with unique finisher medals for each day that fit together for a collector's delight!
Set against the picturesque backdrop of the Rochester Avon Recreation Authority (RARA) Building at 500 E 2nd St, this event encourages a spirit of camaraderie and environmental consciousness through the option of cupless racing. Plus, don't forget to bring an old race shirt for a fun shirt trade! As you cross the finish line, indulge in light snacks, and on Day 2, enjoy delicious waffles and mimosas to celebrate your accomplishment! Join us for this uplifting event that not only promotes health and fitness but also supports the local community through our charity partner, Neighborhood House. Get ready to welcome the new year

FUN RUN/WALK 5K COURSE IS A MIXTURE OF RAIL TRAIL AND DIRT TRAILS THROUGH THE BACK OF BLOOMER PARK, MOSTLY FLAT. THIS IS A 2 DAY EVENT, WITH AN OPTION TO RUN ONE DAY OR BOTH!! SAME COURSE BUT SWITCHING DIRECTIONS WILL GIVE IT THE FEEL OF A TOTALLY DIFFERENT COURSE. PARTICIPANT CAP = 270 EACH DAY

WHAT IS "CUPLESS RACING"? - THIS RACE WILL BE AN OPT IN "CUPLESS RACING" WHICH MEANS IF YOU CARRY YOUR OWN PERSONAL HYDRATION SYSTEM YOU CAN GET REFILLS AT THE AID STATION. IF YOU DON'T CARRY YOUR OWN PERSONAL HYDRATION SYSTEM YOU CAN USE THE PROVIDED SINGLE USE CUPS. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO LESSEN THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF THIS EVENT YOU CAN OPT IN TO CUPLESS RACING BY PURCHASING AND USING THE REUSABLE HYDRAPAK CUP AT THIS RACE AS WELL AS OTHER EVENTS AND YOUR OWN TRAINING, HIKING, CONCERT GOING ETC. HYDRAPAK CUPS CAN BE PURCHASED DURING THE REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR $4.00 EACH.
