Get ready for an exciting day of racing at the Paragon Splash & Dash, taking place on Sunday, August 16, 2026, in beautiful San Antonio, Bexar! This vibrant summer youth aquathlon is a USA Triathlon Certified Race that promises fun and competition for young athletes. Participants will compete in three different age categories with tailored distances to ensure everyone can join in the action. Kids aged 5-6 will kick off the event with a 50-meter swim followed by a 200-meter run, while those aged 7-10 will tackle a 100-meter swim and an 800-meter run. Older participants, aged 11-17, will challenge themselves with a 200-meter swim and a 1600-meter run.
The race day begins at 6:30 AM with packet pickup, followed by pre-race announcements at 7:20 AM. The excitement builds as the youngest competitors start at 7:30 AM, followed by the 7-10 year-olds at 7:35 AM, and finally, the 11-17 year-olds at 7:40 AM. To top off the day, join us for the award ceremony at 8:30 AM on the soccer field,

The distances will be broken up into three different distances based on age.
5-6 years old: 50m swim/200m run
7-10 years old: 100m swim/800m run
11-17 years old: 200m swim/1600m run
Race Day Schedule
6:30 AM - Outside pool door opens and packet pickup begins.
7:20 AM - Pre-race announcements
7:30 AM - 5-6 year-olds start
7:35 AM - 7-10 year-olds start
7:40 AM - 11-17 year-olds start
8:30 AM - Awards Ceremony on soccer field
