Get ready to lace up your walking shoes and grab your furry friend for the exciting Paws4Pride event! Taking place throughout the month of June 2026, this virtual walk-a-thon invites dog lovers from all over to join in Poughkeepsie, Dutchess, and raise vital funds for the Dutchess County Pride Center's youth programs.
From June 1st to June 30th, participants can walk with their pups to support this wonderful cause. The highlight? The chance for your four-legged companion to be crowned the fundraiser mascot for 2026, complete with a professional photo shoot by Tara Cirigliano Photography! Don't have a dog? No problem! You can still get involved by sponsoring a team or volunteering at a local animal shelter to find a walking buddy. Get ready for a fun-filled month of walking, bonding, and making a difference in the community!

PAWS4PRIDE is a virtual walk-a-thon fundraiser where participants can walk with their dogs to raise funds for the DUTCHESS COUNTY PRIDE CENTER youth programs during the month of June. The GRAND PRIZE for participating during the month of June is their pup being the fundraiser MASCOT FOR 2026, complete with _PHOTO SHOOT COURTESY OF TARA CIRIGLIANO PHOTOGRAPHY_. Don't have a dog to walk? Sponsor a team! Or, better yet, volunteer at your local animal shelter to "borrow" a walking buddy to raise funds for the Center. It could be a win for all!

The goal of the Paws4Prde fundraiser is to aid The Dutchess County Pride Center in its mission to provide a safe space for the local LGBTQ+ community. Participants can walk whenever they choose during the month of June, either with their own dog(s), a friend's, neighbor's, or a shelter dog. If you can't participate in walking please consider sponsoring a walker or team!
