Join us for the exhilarating 4th Annual PFC Joseph P. Dwyer PTSD Memorial 5K Run on Saturday, May 31, 2025, in the scenic Rocky Point, Suffolk. This uplifting event honors the memory of an Iraq War hero, PFC Joseph P. Dwyer, and supports veterans facing challenges related to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and traumatic brain injury (TBI). Whether you're a seasoned runner or a casual walker, this 5K offers a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the beautiful pine barrens while making a difference.
The race will kick off at 12:30 PM after registration opens at 10:00 AM at Rocky Point High School. Participants can compete for age-group medals or simply enjoy a leisurely stroll through the trails and hills. Guaranteed T-shirts will be provided to the first 300 registrants, and refreshments await all finishers. Pre-registration is just $25 until May 29, with day-of registration at $35. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Joseph Dwyer Program, a peer-to-peer support network that has been instrumental in helping veterans reintegrate into civilian life.
