Join us for the Pi Day 5k, taking place on Saturday March 14 at Hawk Island Park. This fun-run raises money for Impression 5 Science Center's scholarship program. Impression 5 Science Center is a dynamic, interactive space for families to play, create, and challenge their understanding of science together. By participating in this event, youll support their scholarship programs, which increase access to their exhibits and experiences for children and families throughout our community. All participants receive a t-shirt, medal and free slice of pie after the race! If participating isn't the right fit, there is also an opportunity to volunteer during the event.
RACE DETAILS 2026!
LOCATION: HAWK ISLAND PARK, 1601 E CAVANAUGH RD, LANSING, MI 48910
START TIME: 9:00 am on Saturday March 14, 2026. The 10k will start at 9:00 AM and the 5k will start at 9:05 AM.
ENTRY FEE: Early Bird Registration now until Nov 15, 2025 $30. Registration is $40 from Nov. 16, 2025 through February 28, 2026. Late Registration is $45 from March 1-March 14, 2026. Register by February 21, 2026 to guarantee your shirt size.

Age Groups: Under 14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+.
EARLY PACKET PICK UP: TBD
DAY OF PACKET PICK UP: check in will begin at 8 AM prior to the race at Hawk Island in the Red Tail Pavilion.
PARKING: Parking fee will be added to your registration upon check out. Show your email confirmation/registration or race bib upon entering park. If you have a Ingham County Parking Pass please reach out to us at [email protected] before registering.
RESULTS: Your accurate chip time and current overall and age group place will be texted to your phone and live on this site. Timing done by Michigan Running Foundation.
No-shows to the race will forfeit their shirt and finisher medal.
VIRTUAL PI DAY 5K: If you can't make the race and still want to participate, sign up for the virtual race and we will mail out a shirt and medal to you! Cost is $45 and includes shipping. There are no placement awards for the virtual event. Virtual event registration closes March 13th. Registrations received on or before March 8, will be mailed on March 9th. Registrations received after March 8 will be mailed out on March 13th.
