Organiser's Description
Polish Independence 10K/5K Run/Walk is a race celebrating Polands return as an independent country on November 11th, 1918. With a long tradition in Poland, the run has been organized annually in Chicago since 2018 by WPNA 103.1 FM [https://wpna.fm/], Polish American Mix. Polish Independence Runs USATF-certified, chip-timed course runs along the beautiful Lake Michigan starting at Montrose Harbor. All participants receive a custom finishers medal, event T-shirt and lunch. All ages.
Radio 103.1 FM zaprasza na Bieg Niepodleglo'sci 2024! Organizowany od 2018 r. Bieg Niepodleglo'sci to okazja do uczczenia na sportowo rocznicy odzyskania przez Polske niepodleglo'sci. Dwa dystanse do wyboru: bieg na 10 km oraz bieg lub marsz na 5 km. Trasa przy jeziorze Michigan zaczyna sie na Montrose Harbor. Kazdy uczestnik Biegu otrzymuje koszulke i medal za pokonanie trasy. Po biegu wsp'olny lunch. Dolacz do nas!

Adult 10K run: $54 until 8/19, $59 from 8/20 - 9/16, $64 from 9/17 - 10/14, $69 from 10/15 - until registration closes
Adult 5K run: $49 until 8/19, $54 from 8/20 - 9/16, $59 from 9/17 - 10/14, $64 from 10/15 - until registration closes
Adult 5K walk: $44 until 8/19, $49 from 8/20 - 9/16, $54 from 9/17 - 10/14, $59 from 10/15 - until registration closes
Virtual 5K run: $44 until 8/19, $49 from 8/20 - 9/16, $54 from 9/17 - 10/14, $59 from 10/15 - until registration closes
Kids under 12: $5 off, discount added automatically at registration
Groups 10+: $5 discount per group member applied after the group reaches 10 members.
PACKET PICK UP DETAILS:
Saturday, Oct 19, from 9am to 3pm at the WPNA FM station in the Polish National Alliance building, 6100 N Cicero Ave, Chicago
Day of event packet pick up at the Packet Pick Up tent open from 9am.
CHIP TIMING:
The 10K and 5K races are chip timed. The 5K walk is not timed. Chips are attached to the race bibs and are disposable. Chip timing is not guaranteed for race day registrants.
