Please join us for our annual 5K Prairie Moon Pumpkin Fun Run!

REGISTRATION CAN BE COMPLETED ONLINE UNTIL DAY OF RACE 9AM OR ONSITE DAY OF REGISTRATION. Packet pick-up Friday October 23rd before the race either at Prairie Moon Waldorf School from 12:45-1:30pm or at Fleet Feet in downtown Lawrence at 839 Massachusetts St. from 3-6pm OR on the day of the race between 8:30-9am.

The 5K race begins and ends at Prairie Moon Waldorf School. 5k starts at 9:30am. Raffle for the Garmin Forerunner will occur right before the race. You must be present to win the raffle. Race is $35 per person +fees for 18+ years old and includes a t-shirt. Youth 17 years of age and younger $10 per person with option to buy a t-shirt for $15. Each 5k registration comes with a timed bib.

Not up for a 5K? We have a <1 mile fun run/obstacle course for younger ones at 10:30am that spirals toward a center finish area on the school grounds. The grounds may be wet so you may want to bring a change of shoes for your younger ones. The Fun Run also come with the ability to add a shirt for $20 each. IF YOU WANT A T-SHIRT BUT DO NOT WANT TO RUN, FEEL FREE TO REGISTER TO THE FUN RUN AND ADD A SHIRT. Shirt sizes may be limited after October 10th.

JOIN US AT POST RUN FOR PUMPKIN PAINTING, CHESS, ADDITIONAL GAMES, COFFEE AND BAKED GOODS.

The race will be officially timed, but not certified. Course runs along the gravel road (1600 Rd) in front of school to the Mud Creek levee trail and back. Strollers are welcome but sturdy tires will be needed for the gravel road leading up to the trail.

There will be prizes for top finishers donated by local stores. In addition Garmin has donated a Forerunner 165 Music with black band for a raffle. Everyone who registers for the 5k will be automatically entered into the raffle. Each additional $10 donation will add another raffle ticket.

Packet pick-up will be in Lawrence, KS 66044 Friday October 23rd, the day before the event from 3-6 pm at Fleet Feet Lawrence and the morning of the race from 8:30-9:15 am inside the school. 5k Race will start at 9:30am and kids friendly <1 mile fun run/obstacle course will follow at 10:30. The fun run is not timed. Feel free to leave post race or to join in the fun that follows as long as you want. We will have food trucks, coffee and other post race goodies plus face painting, chess, coffee, and other family fun activities.

Prairie Moon Waldorf School is a non-profit Waldorf school with an early education program and 1st-8th grades serving the Lawrence community since 2001. We are screen free, nature and art based utilizing a curriculum that educates the hands, the heart and the head through academic, artistic and practical work. Our tuition is need-based sliding scale. Everyone who qualifies receives a tuition reduction which is why we need additional fundraising.
