Race to Save the Laurel Dace

Sat 16th May 2026

A group of people in running gear participate in a race. Two older adults in matching blue shirts smile, wave, and walk together at the front, while others walk or jog behind them near a fence and inflatable arch. A yellow banner on a sidewalk pole reads "Welcome to Spring City, Home of the Laurel Dace," with the Spring City logo and fish images. Other banners, street lamps, and buildings line the street in the background. Runners begin a race under a purple and pink inflatable arch with "PBRacing" written on it. A sign reads "Welcome Laurel Dace Day." Participants wear numbered bibs and athletic wear, running on a paved path. A young boy and a woman are running outdoors on a grassy field near a paved path, with trees and parked cars in the background. The boy appears focused and determined. People gather under a canopy at an outdoor event, standing around a blue table covered with science materials and wood samples. Two people in blue shirts converse in the foreground. Trees and grass are visible in the background.
