Get ready for an exciting season of running at the **Rapides Junior Runners Fall Series**, taking place from **September 6 to October 25, 2025**, in beautiful **Pineville, Louisiana**! This vibrant event features four thrilling races designed for kids aged 3 to junior high, with distances tailored to each age group. Little ones aged 3-5 can enjoy a fun **1/2 mile**, while those aged 6-11 will challenge themselves with a **1 mile** run. For the older participants aged 12-14, a **2 mile** race awaits, with the option to compete individually or as part of their Junior High School team.
Hosted at the scenic **Ward 9 Sports Complex**, the closed traffic course ensures a safe and enjoyable environment for all young athletes. Each race is chip-timed, and participants will receive a chipped bib, goody bag, and a finish medal at the end of each race. Don't forget to keep your bib for all four events! Organiser's Description
Rapides Junior Runners Fall Series provides 4 races in September and October for kids aged 3 to junior high. Various distances are run, depending on the child's age: 3-5 runs 1/2 mile; 6-11 runs 1 mile; 12-14 will run 2 miles. For the fall series, two mile participants can either register as an individual participant or participate with their Junior High School team via school coach. All races are chip timed. The course is a true cross-country course, closed to traffic and utilizes the grounds of Ward 9 Sports Complex, 3311 Donahue Ferry Road, Pineville, LA 71360.
Upon individual registration, each participant will receive a chipped bib and a goody bag. T-shirts will be optional and will be available to print on demand on one to two race mornings - to be determined and announced at a later date.
Please keep the same bib for all 4 races. If you happen to misplace or forget your child's bib number, replacement bib numbers will be available for purchase at the race venue for a cost of $10.
Every finisher will receive a finish medal at the finish line each race.
Awards will be presented following the conclusion of the 1 mile race and will include male and female top three for each age: male and female - 6 years; male and female - 7 years; male and female - 8 years; male and female - 9 years; male and female - 10 years; male and female - 11 years; male and female -12 years; male and female - 13 years. Two mile team competitors will receive team awards.

* For all scheduled races - 1 Mile first at 8:00 am, 1/2 mile following conclusion of 1 mile race, 2 mile race at approximately 8:45.
* We start the races as close to these times as possible. Please be at race site at least 15 minutes prior to above listed race time.

Keep your original bib number for all 4 races! Replacement bibs available to purchase for $10 on race morning - only if needed. Please stay in finish line area with your child while waiting for your child's race. Once one race finishes, we will make an announcement via the speaker for the next age group to warm up then be walked to the start line. You are welcome to accompany your child to the start line.
