Organiser's Description

The REACH Foundations favorite tradition continues! The Shamrock n Run 5K & 2K is once again bringing the Placentia-Yorba Linda community together for a festive, fun-filled day in support of our students.

Since 2012, thousands of families have participated in this beloved community eventrunning, walking, and celebrating togetherwhile helping raise critical funds that directly support enrichment programs and events for PYLUSD students. Its more than a race; its a celebration of community, school spirit, and giving back.

Were excited to welcome our four-legged friends, too! For participants planning to run or walk the 5K or 2K with their dogs, please review the Yorba Regional Park guidelines below to help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone:

* Dogs must be on a leash at all times while in the park
* Leashes must be no longer than 6 feet
* Leashes must be physical leashes (no e-collars)
* Participants must carry doggie bags and clean up after their pets
* Dogs should be well-socialized and comfortable in a busy race environment with runners, walkers, and spectators

    The 5K course will start and finish in the outfield grass area of Yorba Park (City of Anaheim Ball Fields), located next to Yorba Regional Park. The trail will wind through Yorba Regional Park and return via the dirt trail that runs parallel to the Santa Ana River (not the bike trail). The course will be timed but not certified this year. Running surfaces will include grass, dirt, cement, and asphalt. The race will use electronic fobs, allowing for a staggered start. Athletes 18 years old and younger will receive a $5 discount during registration. All registrants will also enjoy a free Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast! The REACH Foundation will include in the registration confirmation email the estimated amount of the tax deduction potentially available (please consult your tax professional). The deductible amount will range between $14.10 and $30.10 per athlete and event, depending on the event(s) selected and the timing of payment.
