The 2026 READING HOSPITAL ROAD RUN, hosted by The Friends of Reading Hospital, will include our standard in-person event distances of 1/2 marathon and 5K races and 1 mile fun walk/run to be held on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18, 2026. The deadline to get a guaranteed shirt is September 15, 2026.
1/2 MARATHON 8:00AM
5K 8:05AM
Both distances will be chip-timed. The course will start and finish in front of the iconic clock tower and will loop around the park and neighborhoods south of the hospital campus. All participants will receive a short-sleeve wicking race shirt (must register by September 15th to be guaranteed your size). 5K awards will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers overall as well as in the following age groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70+. 1/2 Marathon awards will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers overall as well as in the following age groups: 19 & Under, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+.

This untimed event will start on Spruce Street at 6th in front of the clock tower and finish on 6th directly in front of the clock tower at the hospital.
