Join us Saturday, August 15 for the 7th annual New Glarus Wood Trail Run! We are part of the SAVANNA TRAIL RUN SERIES. Proceeds from this event go to the Friends of New Glarus Woods State Park. We aim to host a top notch trail run that highlights our park. Stick around after the race for lunch, awards and other activities!

OPENS 01 MAYThe course start/finish is in the day-use area and enters the woods at the Basswood Trail before descending to the Spur trail and downward to the prairie on the Bison Trail. The course climbs up above the prairie using a former farm road and continues on wide forested trails to complete 8 kilometers. The 8k runners finish at the start line after completing one loop. The 16k runners run through the start/finish line to start their second lap. Runners pass the water station twice on each lap of the course. The 16k and 8k races are open to runners 14 and up. The top overall M/F finishers in each race will receive awards, as will the top M/F participants in the following age groups: 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Think you have a good sense of pace? For the 16k runners, we will present a Consistency Award for the runner with the most even pace throughout the race. -
