Join us for the RiverBOO! Park 5K on Friday, October 10, 2025, in the picturesque Riverview Park located on Pittsburgh's Northside. This exhilarating sunset run/walk promises to take participants through the stunning landscapes of the park, including a scenic detour around the iconic Allegheny Observatory on Observatory Hill. While the course is breathtaking, be prepared for a thrilling challenge as the final mile ascends uphill!
This family-friendly event welcomes participants of all ages and includes an exciting costume contest for youth ages 0-15, along with special seasonal activities provided by local community partners. As an added bonus, the first 200 registrants will receive exclusive event shirts! Please note that due to ongoing landslide remediation, some road closures may affect parking access, so plan to enter the park from Mairdale Street and Riverview Drive. Don’t miss out on this delightful evening of fitness, fun, and community spirit!

The RiverBOO! Park 5K takes place in the hidden gem that is Riverview Park on Pittsburgh's Northside. This unique sunset run/ walk takes participants through the beautiful, scenic park, complete with a trip around the Allegheny Observatory on Observatory Hill. The course completes with a challenge as the final mile is almost all uphill! The RiverBOO! Park 5K is presented by the City of Pittsburgh Office of Special Events. It is a family friendly event including a costume contest for youth ages 0-15, and special seasonal activities sponsored by community partners.
NOTICE OF ROAD CLOSURE: Due to landslide remediation through NOVEMBER, RIVERVIEW AVE will be restricted with partial road closures along the racecourse to vehicles trying to park from PERRYSVILLE AVE. To ease parking for residents along Riverview Ave, Race Coordinators suggest entering the park from Mairdale Street and Riverview Drive (WOODS RUN SIDE OF THE PARK).

The Riverview 5K runs through a hilly Riverview Park. The course is evenly divided between the uphill and downhill running. This unique 5K takes place on a FRIDAY EVENING at 6:00 pm. The tree-lined course offers plenty of shade! Stick around after the race for a wonderful assortment of family fall activities.
