Join us for the exciting Rome Sweet Home 5K on Saturday, September 26, 2026, in Topeka, Shawnee! This year, participants will enjoy a NEW ROUTE starting at Johnny's Tavern, where runners will circle around the scenic Wheatfield Village before entering the beautiful Shunga Trail. The 5K course features a turnaround point at a water station, allowing runners to recharge before heading back to the finish line.
But the fun doesn't end with the race! After the 5K, join us for a festive afternoon starting at 4:30 PM with a special mass, followed by a vibrant live rock concert at 5:30 PM. Families can delight in a beer garden, delicious food trucks, bouncy houses, and carnival games for the kids. As the evening wraps up, don’t miss one of the best fireworks displays in Topeka! Mark your calendars for this unforgettable day of community, celebration, and fun for all ages!
