Join us for the exciting Rome Sweet Home 5K on Saturday, September 27th, 2025, in Topeka, Shawnee! This fun-filled event features a vibrant 5K run or walk, starting at the Christ the King Church parking lot. Participants will enjoy a scenic course that winds through a neighborhood safely closed off for the event, before looping around the picturesque Wheatfield Village on the Shunga Trail and returning to the starting point.
The festivities don't end with the race! After the 5K, join us at 4:30 PM for mass, followed by an exhilarating evening that kicks off at 5:30 PM. Enjoy a live rock concert, sip refreshing drinks at the beer garden, savor delicious offerings from food trucks, and let the kids have a blast with bouncy houses and carnival games. Cap off the night with one of Topeka's most spectacular fireworks displays! Don't miss out on this unforgettable day of community, fun, and celebration!

Organiser's Description
Fun 5k run or walk starting at Christ the King Church parking lot. The course takes you through the local neighborhood that will be blocked off for your safety, then loops around Wheatfield Village on the Shunga Trail and then back to Christ the King.
Come for our events later in the day starting at 4:30 with mass. After mass starting at 5:30 the night leads into a live rock concert, beer garden, food trucks, bouncy houses and carnival games for the kiddos. The night ends with one of the best fireworks displays in Topeka!
