Organiser's Description
Start time 9:30am. The beauty of nature is completely on display in this challenging up-and-down, through-the-woods, around-the-lake, all-over-the-park 5k trail race. To be fair, half of the course is paved, the other half is a mixture of natural trail (very little rocks/roots), and crushed limestone. Trail shoes are not necessary. Some participants prefer trail shoes if it has been raining for a few days. The first 100 registrants receive a hooded sweatshirt $5 extra, or a long-sleeved T-shirt. (Additional shirts may be reordered if numbers dictate. However, sizes/styles not guaranteed: 1st come, 1st served so register early!). After the race, enjoy hot dogs, pizza, hot chocolate, and Donley's Delicious Delights homemade cookies. We also offer over 100 of the beautifully-hand-crafted Nature Trophies in various categories and divisions in the Run and the Walk. For more info, contact : Carl A. If you register for the 5k Walk, YOU MUST WALK THE ENTIRE DISTANCE! This is a competitive 5k Walk. You may not sprint, run, jog, or trot one single step.By definition, you MUST have one foot on the ground AT ALL TIMES. To do otherwise is considered cheating and you will be disqualified without refund. Parents, please instruct your children about the Walking rules. -
Kids Fun Run
