Open to everyone, this event encourages marchers to fill their rucksacks with up to 40lbs of non-perishable food items for donation to local charities. Whether you're a seasoned rucker or a newcomer, you can carry what you're comfortable with while making a meaningful contribution to the community. Every participant will receive a commemorative t-shirt and a Rucks On Main velcro patch upon completion. Organiser's Description
Twice a year, Rucks On Main will host a military-themed ruck march at the Santa Fe Plaza in downtown Temple, Texas, to honor our Veterans and The Fallen. This ruck march is open to everyone. On Memorial & Veterans Day weekends, marchers will fill their rucksacks with UP TO 40lbs of non-perishable food items to be donated to charitable organizations. Carry what you are comfortable with. Marchers will complete a 6-mile route through downtown and historic neighborhoods in North Temple. Before the ruck march, each participant will receive a t-shirt, and upon completion, each participant will receive a Rucks On Main velcro patch. Participants can preregister online or in person on the day of the event. Participants are not guaranteed a t-shirt of size if they register 30 days or fewer before the event (supplies will be limited). After completing the ruck march, marchers will gather at the Santa Fe Plaza to enjoy food, locally-brewed craft beer, and camaraderie.

Race-day registration and packet pick-up will run from 7:30 am to 9 am. Registration will be handled by our volunteers. Shirt sizes are guaranteed for all registrations received by April 24. Minimal quantities of XL shirts are available after this date on a first-come basis. This is a chip-timed event!
