Get ready to lace up your running shoes for the Run for Blood Cancer 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, May 24th, 2025, at the beautiful Sedgwick County Park in Wichita, Sedgwick! This uplifting community event is dedicated to honoring those battling blood cancer and supporting the vital mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Participants can choose between a timed 5K run/walk or an untimed 1K family walk, making it a fantastic family-friendly experience.
With a registration fee of $40 for pre-registration and $50 on the day of the event, you'll receive a commemorative shirt, a medal, and a goody bag for the first 100 pre-registered participants. Enjoy delicious food, refreshing drinks, and lively entertainment throughout the day, including a DJ and various vendors. The schedule kicks off with registration at 8:00 AM, followed by the 1K family walk at 9:00 AM and the 5K race starting at 9:30 AM. Wrap up the day with an awards ceremony at 10:30 AM. This event is honoring Blood Cancer and our Honored Hero's that are battling Blood Cancer. _ALL PROCEEDS GOES TO_ The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. The mission is clear: to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkins disease, and myeloma, while simultaneously enhancing the quality of life for patients and their families through education, research, and advocacy.
This event is a fun-family event with a timed 5K Run/Walk and untimed 1/5k Mile Run/Walk at Sedgwick County Park, Food & Entertainment, and an opportunity to help support blood cancer diagnosis treatments and direct services at Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
