This exciting day of outdoor adventure features three fantastic races: a challenging 5K and 10K on November 9, followed by a grueling Half Marathon on November 16. The 5K kicks off at 9:15 AM from Hancock Park and takes participants through the picturesque streets of Historic Downtown Dahlonega, while the 10K, starting at 9:00 AM, combines both road and scenic trail running in the beautiful foothills of the North Georgia Mountains.
But the fun doesn’t stop there! On November 16, experience the thrill of the Half Marathon, which traverses the same forestry roads that U.S. Rangers train on, beginning at 11:30 AM from Camp Merrill. This 13.1-mile challenge promises stunning views and a true test of endurance, as you tackle the rugged terrain of the Appalachian Mountains. With awards for top finishers in various age and gender categories, plus a festive atmosphere that includes the annual Veterans Day Parade and an all-day music festival, Run For Rangers is not just a race—it's a weekend

5K SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2024 9:15 A.M.
Run from Hancock Park, in Historic Downtown Dahlonega, through safe and secure streets on this challenging 3.1 mile course in the foothills of the North Georgia Mountains. This is a timed event with several age/gender categories, and awards will be made for 1st to 3rd places, in each category. 10K SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 2024 9:00 A.M.
This is a challenging course that includes both road and trail through the scenic beauty of the North Georgia Mountain foothills. Not for the feint hearted! The trail part of the course is hilly and has some rocks on the footpath that circles the reservoir near downtown Dahlonega. This is a timed event with several age/gender categories, and awards will be made for 1st to 3rd places, in each category. Surrounding festivities include the annual Veterans Day Parade, kids play area, and an all day music festival with food and beverage, including wine and beer. Half Marathon (Mountain Marathon) Saturday, November 16, 2024 11:30 am to 3:00 pm.
This event uses all the same forestry roads the US Rangers train on. Tough YES, but not too tough for runners capable of covering the 13.1 miles. This course starts and finishes on the airfield at Camp Merrill. Almost all of the half marathon course is off-pavement on service roads that curl through the Appalachian Mountains, only feet from the Appalachian Trail. Challenge yourself with two grueling hills where Americas best soldiers are trained. Parking is abundant. Food and Beverage will be available at the on-post service Club, The Overhang, after the event. This includes beer and wine and a full menu. You can count on some active duty Rangers to be running the course. This is Veterans Day weekend and on Saturday, there will be festivities in Historic Downtown Dahlonega, including the annual Veterans Day parade and an all day music festival in the Park.
