Join us for the Run For Ryan Memorial Run on Saturday, July 19, 2025, in Dayville, Northeastern Connecticut. This family-friendly event features a 5K Run/Walk dedicated to the memory of Ryan French, a talented runner and beloved member of the community. Participants will traverse scenic off-road paths that celebrate Ryan’s passion for running while contributing to a meaningful cause—the RYAN FRENCH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND, which supports deserving Killingly Ag-Ed seniors pursuing higher education.
Whether you're an avid runner or looking for a fun day out with the family, this event has something for everyone! Registration is available online until 9:15 AM on race day, with entry fees set at $25 for adults and $20 for participants 18 and under if registered before July 14, 2024. Enjoy a complimentary race shirt for those registering early, and compete for exciting awards in various age categories, along with cash prizes for new course records. Organiser's Description
This is a family friendly 5K Run/Walk event in honor of Ryan French. Ryan was a resident of Thompson and a student in the Ag-Ed Program at Killingly High School. Ryan was also an avid runner on the KHS Cross Country and Track Teams. The proceeds from this race will be going into the RYAN FRENCH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND which provides Scholarships to well deserving Killingly Ag-Ed Seniors going onto higher education.
The race course uses off-road paths that may have exposed rocks and roots which could be a trip hazard to participants. As part of the registration process each entrant is required to sign a liability waiver accepting the risk of possible injury while participating in the event.
PLEASE NOTE: ENTRY IS VIA ONLINE REGISTRATION ONLY. REGISTRATION SHALL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL 9:15 AM ON RACE DAY.
