Join us for an inspiring day of community and awareness at the RUN FOR THE RARE event on Sunday, June 8, 2025, in beautiful Salem, Marion. This exciting occasion features a 10k, 5k, and 1-mile run/walk, all aimed at raising awareness for International Batten Disease Awareness Day. With 1 in 10 people affected by a rare disease, and many of those being children, your participation matters more than ever. The race kicks off at 10 AM outside the Pavilion in the North Meadow, and all participants are encouraged to finish by 1 PM.

For just $45 for adults and $35 for children, you’ll receive a commemorative t-shirt while helping to shine a light on the 7000+ rare diseases that affect millions globally, with 95% lacking FDA-approved treatments.
