This scenic 5K run/walk is set against the backdrop of the historic New Salem State Park, starting and finishing at the charming West of Wise Winery, renowned for its award-winning wines. Participants will enjoy a picturesque course that winds along roads and trails beside the stunning Sangamon River, all within the Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site.
Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun day out, this event is perfect for everyone. Registration includes a chip-timed 5K, wine tasting tickets, and a commemorative wine glass! Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers, along with the top three finishers in each age division. Don’t forget that packet pickup is available on Friday, April 17th, or on race day from 8:45 AM, with the race kicking off at 10:00 AM. Please note that due to trail conditions, strollers are not permitted. Rain or shine, this is an event you won’t want to miss—join us for a day of fun

This scenic 5K run/walk takes place at the historic New Salem State Park, starting and finishing at West of Wise Winery, home to award-winning wines from their family vineyard. The course features a mix of roads and trails alongside the beautiful Sangamon River in Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site.
If wine isnt your thing, the winery also offers beer from excellent local breweries!
REGISTRATION INCLUDES:
Chip-timed 5K run/walk
Wine tasting tickets
