This year's Run4Rare honors local hero Aubrie Rowland, a courageous 7-year-old battling a rare mitochondrial disease. By dedicating your miles to Aubrie and the many others affected by similar conditions, you’ll contribute to vital research and support for families in need. Registration opens at 8:30 AM, followed by a warm welcome at 9:25 AM and the start of the races at 9:30 AM for the 5K and 9:35 AM for the 1K. Organiser's Description
Aubrie Rowland is 7 year old Raritan resident attending Second Grade at Milltown Primary School in Bridgewater, NJ. She was born with an ultra-rare Mitochondrial Disease, Leukoencephalopathy with Ovarian Failure (LKENP). This condition is terminal and has no cure. This run is hosted by Aubrie's mom, Ashley Rowland who is the Co-Founder of CureARS.
CureARS is a parent organization (founded by two mom's) supporting families and funding research that could lead to life-saving treatments for their children and others affected by mtARS disorders.
Dedicate your miles to local resident, Aubrie and the thousands of others affected and those who will be diagnosed worldwide in 2026.
