On Your Left Fitness is proud to partner with the Town of Marana Parks and Recreation to bring you the Dirt Dash Half Marathon at Wild Burro Trailhead in the Tortolita Mountain Park. The Tortolita Mountain Park consists of several connecting trails with moderate to challenging elevation changes. We will offer two courses: a half marathon and a 6-mile.

THE COURSE

HALF MARATHON | Dash through the scenic views of the Tortolita Mountain Trails in this half-marathon (13.1 mile) trail race. The first section of the half-marathon starts with a relatively flat 2-mile run on the Wild Burro Trail (a mix of wash and single track trail). The next section is the scenic ~9-mile single track trail with a moderate elevation climb and descend. Lastly, the half finishes with the 2-mile return trip through the Wild Burros Wash. (Cut-off is 4 hours and 45 minutes) TOTAL ELEVATION GAIN 1,673 FT.
6 MILE | Test your speed through the Wild Burro Wash in the 6-mile trail dash. The first section starts with a relatively flat 2-mile run on the Wild Burro Trail (a mix of wash and single track trail). The next section is the climb ~2-mile single track trail with a moderate elevation climb and descend. Lastly, the dash finishes with the 2-mile return trip through the Wild Burros Wash. TOTAL ELEVATION GAIN 912 FT.

RACE DAY SCHEDULE

7:00 am | Check-in begins (Campfire to keep warm)
8:00 am | Half-Marathon Start (4 HOURS AND 45 MINUTES CUTOFF)
8:15 am | 6 Mile Start (2 HOUR CUTOFF)

Results will be posted on the event website, and you can sign up for text messaging.

RACE-DAY REGISTRATION

You can register online on race day until 7:45 a.m. PLEASE USE YOUR HOME COMPUTER OR CELL PHONE TO REGISTER. There will be NO PAPER REGISTRATION ON RACE DAY. Price increased on race day to $40.

AID STATIONS | there will be water and energy gels every 3 miles on the course
CUSTOM BIBS | All registrations include a custom race bib and custom online finisher's certificate.
FINISHER MEDAL | All registered participants will receive a finisher Award.
COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES | Campfire, Photo booth, Music (Spotify playlist), unique finisher award.
RAFFLE | Two (2) Fitness themed prize packs will be raffled off for each race.

Try to outrun our Wild Burro! Beat the race time of our route director to earn a special edition finisher medal.

DIRT HERO CHALLENGE

Crush the Dirt Dash Half Marathon trail run in the winter, slay the Tortolita Traverse Half Marathon trail run in the spring and earn yourself the dirt hero shirt for completing the distance of a marathon through Marana trails.

The series includes five unique, fun, and challenging race events. Races are designed either as a trail race or road race each containing unique elements like mascots, community activities, or race course swag.
