The evening includes a fun-filled Kids' 1-mile race starting at 8:30 PM, followed by the Glow for the Gold 4-Mile Relay at 8:45 PM—where teams of four can showcase their spirit and camaraderie! Participants can look forward to receiving medals and shirts, with awards for the top relay teams and the most spirited group.
The excitement continues on Saturday, March 7, starting bright and early at 7:30 AM for packet pickup, leading up to the main event, the 5K race, starting at 8:30 AM. All participants will receive a shirt, medal, and age group awards to celebrate their achievements. Organiser's Description
The Farm Road 5K Challenge is an annual race that raises money for The Overcoming Adversity Scholarship. The scholarship supports SAU student-athletes with disabilities.
Founders, Briston and Carley Rains, ran cross country and track and field at SAU (Briston 2020-2023, Carley 2017-2021). They started this scholarship in 2022 based on Carley's true testimony of being a student-athlete with a disability (Narcolepsy with Cataplexy).
