Join us at Edgebook Field in South Park for our chip-timed 5k SCADaddle. Enjoy refreshments, and shop our SCAD Store afterwards. South Park is a large historic, kid-friendly and dog friendly park.
OUR CAUSE
Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection (SCAD) is a little-known and poorly understood cause of a heart attack. Most patients are young, healthy, and active women who do not have the typical risk factors of heart disease. Although less common, it can affect men too. SCAD can reoccur and can be fatal. Research is needed to identify the cause(s) and the best treatment options.
SCAD is the #1 cause of heart attacks in women under age 50, pregnant women & new moms.
SCADaddle
Our timed 5K run/walk takes place in South Park - Edgebrook Field on Buffalo Drive.
Awards will be given to the overall winner male and female. Medals/recognition will be given to 2nd and 3rd place males/females overall and to the top three males/females for age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79 and 80 and older.
Register by September 1, 2025, to guarantee this year's t-shirt.

The SCAD Social/Reunion is an evening to meet, enjoy dinner and learn with other survivors, SCAD Angel families/friends and SCAD supporters. We are honored that Dr. Agnes Koczo from UPMC Womens Cardiovascular Disease Cardiology will join us. Dr. Koczo is a full-time faculty member of the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute. She will present information about SCAD after dinner and answer questions at the end of her presentation. While Dr. Koczos practice includes all aspects of cardiovascular medicine, she has a particular focus on cardiovascular disease which exclusively or disproportionately impacts women, including peripartum cardiomyopathy, postpartum preeclampsia, and spontaneous coronary artery dissection (SCAD).
