Get ready for the inaugural Shark Race 5K Run/Walk, taking place on Sunday, September 6, 2026, in the beautiful city of Honolulu! The course features a scenic out-and-back route, starting and finishing at the iconic Aloha Tower Marketplace, a vibrant hub that also houses Hawaii Pacific University.
Participants will kick off the race in front of the Maritime Center at Pier 7, taking a delightful journey along Aloha Tower Drive before heading onto Ala Moana Boulevard. A right turn on Keawe will lead participants through a picturesque loop around Kaka'ako Waterfront Park, allowing everyone to soak in the stunning views of the area. As racers make their way back to the finish line at Aloha Tower, they will be greeted with cheers and a sense of accomplishment. Plus, there are exciting age group awards for competitors, ensuring that everyone has a chance to shine! The first annual Shark Race will be an out and back course, starting and ending at Aloha Tower Marketplace, home to Hawaii Pacific University.
Starting line will be in front of the Maritime Center at Pier 7. The course will head out Aloha Tower Drive and dump on to Ala Moana blvd. Participants will take a right turn on Keawe and will do a loop around Kaka'ako Waterfront Park, and will come back to Aloha Tower Marketplace the same way they went out. The finish line will be right in front of Aloha Tower.
